Agencies like Hilliard House could not operate without the constant support of individuals and groups who donate funds to our agency. A large portion of our annual revenue is spent on general operations to maintain our facility. By supporting Hilliard House through monetary donations, you allow more of our limited resources to help the women and children we serve.
Cash Donations
Financial contributions are always useful. We can accept cash donations in three ways:

Clothing
Hilliard House accepts seasonal clothes that are gently used. We ask that you do not donate items that are damaged or soiled. Because we receive a high volume of clothes throughout the year, please call 804.236.5800 ext 29 to see what clothing items we currently need.
Furniture and Household Goods
We are often searching for household items to help families furnish their new residence when they transition from Hilliard House. Items such as sofas, kitchen tables, coffee and end tables, beds, gently used mattresses, kitchen appliances, washers/dryers, and other furniture items are welcomed when we have a resident moving into their new home. Sometimes groups will have the opportunity to "sponsor" a family when transitioning into their own place. This is a great project for families or groups. United Way Campaigns
Does your employer participate in the United Way campaign? If so, you can designate your gift to Hilliard House or to the Community Fund. For every dollar that you contribute through the United Way, 88 cents goes to Hilliard House.
Appreciated Stocks
A great way to give is through stocks. If you are interested in donating stock investments, please call our office at 804-236-5800, ext 23 for more details.
Matching Gifts
This is a simple way to double your contribution. Many businesses match their employee's cash gifts to non profits. Check with your employer and see if the matching gift program is in place. They will have a form for you to complete and mail to us. We'll take care of the rest.
Combined Virginia Campaign
If you work for the State of Virginia , you are eligible to participate their annual CVC campaign. Please consider designating your contribution to Hilliard House using our assigned CVC Code 3108 (also located in the CVC brochure available through your employer).
Combined Federal Campaign
If you work for the Federal Government, you too can participate in a similar campaign. Designate your contribution to Hilliard House by using the assigned CFC Code 37974 (located in the CFC brochure available through your employer).
